Throughout the Dragon Ball manga, Son Gohan has been identified as the fighter with the greatest potential among the Saiyan warriors. This has been proven countless times, from the battle with Cell, to the new state of power in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Since then, many fans have wondered: How will Gohan confront the strongest warrior in universe 11 - Jiren.
Controversy happens a lot in the fan community, like in Quora, Fanpage or Twitter. A fan even drew the poster below.
After seeing what happened in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, many fans have assumed that with that power, Gohan will defeat the strongest warrior of Universe 11, although it will be difficult.
As for Jiren, one of the points that fans brought up the most was the fact that he fought a group of Universe 7 Warriors at the end of the Tournament of Power. Jiren's fans have questioned whether Final Gohan's form can match the power Goku, Android 17, and Frieza combined at the end of the Tournament of Power.
However, that debate, the victory was in Jiren's side. That debate indicates that a Jiren easily dealt with Goku (even after he first unlocked Ultra Instinct). So that debate, starting to turn towards whether Final Gohan has the same power as Goku's Ultra Instinct state or not.
Currently, there are still some controversies between the two sides, but both are defended the victory is in favor of Jiren. After all, Jiren is also a character that the god of destruction of universe 11 is quite afraid of. The longer the battle drags on, the stronger Jiren becomes and Gohan will be exhausted from not having fully adapted to his new state.
